Rainbow Ballroom Tour 12 – 1, Mushroom foraging walk 1-3pm
 
Visit the original Ballroom of Romance Glenfarne, Leitrim and browse its  museum of show band memorabilia and hear its history. Forage through Glenfarne demesne for mushrooms such as charcoal burner, orange milkcap and possibly a chanterelle or two. Enjoy the fabulous views on this lakeside forest trek and visit some of the artwork on McNean sculpture trail.
Duration of Rainbow Ballroom Tour 1 hour, free admission, refreshments served.

Canoeing, cycling and walking what a great way to start your 60th year and all on a ‘soft’ July day in Leitrim!  Rita gathered with her friends at Lough McNean Forest and Lough to enjoy an invigorating BIG DAY OUT event.  Lots of fun, catching up, smiles and laughter on the water, lanes and forest, this group is definitely young at heart and knows how to celebrate life! We love our old stones at Leitrim Landscapes Guided Walks and want to share that with you. Come to Tullysheherney, Manorhamilton, a magical place  to experience the Summer Solstice. Watch the sun go down from this amazing archaeology site. See the typical U shaped glacial valley of Glenade slip from sunlight to moonlight. Feel the presence of our ancestors at the burial sites and enclosures and hopefully hear a skylark at dusk. Meet at Manorhamilton Castle at 9pm, booking essential.

Fermanagh and the Cliffs of Moher.  Ireland is a wonderful place to discover and enjoy and Leitrim is the hidden gem!

THE SHANNON BLUEWAY ADVENTURE FEST 2015

The Shannon Blueway Leitrim

Leitrim Village is the place to be for the May bank holiday weekend 2015! A brand new festival to celebrate the newly designated Shannon Blueway will feature canoeing, kayaking, SUP, cycling, electric biking, horse-riding, trail-running, walking, rowing and leisure cruising. And if that doesn’t float you boat there will be a carnival type atmosphere with music and entertainment at the marina and along the riverbank in Leitrim Village.

Events will run over the weekend. Starting points for the trails are from Ca and rrick-on-Shannon, Drumshanbo and some circular routes from Leitrim Village.

Bring your friends along for a Big Day Out in Leitrim on Sunday 3rd May. For a group of 10 or more people we will bring you on an hours nature/foraging walk, an hour and a half on Canadian Canoes and an hours trip on electric bike trails, all along or in the vicinity of Ireland’s first blueway. We offer a Big Day Out in Leitrim  with a 1 hour Nature/Foraging walk 1.5 hour Canadian Canoe Trip and one hour Electric Bike Tour for groups of 10 or more people. Avail of two nights B&B at the fabulous Leitrim Marina Hotel located on Ireland’s first Blueway . Two nights B&B and all three activities available for €114pps .The Marina Hotel is a stunning marina side boutique hotel located on the banks of The River Shannon, close to Carrick On Shannon in beautiful County Leitrim, Ireland’s lake district. Your BIG DAY OUT will include a guided Canadian Canoe trip on the Shannon Blueway, a guided Electric Bike tour along the Shannon Blueway and a guided nature/foraging walk discovering the flora & fauna of the blueway. Normally activities start 11am and finish up about 4pm. Bring a packed lunch. Some free home cooked treats will be supplied to keep your energy levels up.
All safety equipment is provided for the activities. Comfortable clothing and footwear advisable. The activities are not very strenuous and are taken at a slow pace. Offer valid from April 4th to  to May 29th 2015 for groups of 10 or more.
